This key end and downsizer are for use with Clark Brothers Instrument (CBI) adapters only.
Includes the following pieces:
7713 - 0.104 male square drive tip key
7740 - 0.104 female downsizer piece
Purchase this set if your drive key has gotten rounded off or damaged, and/or if your downsizer has been cored out, causing your cable to no longer engage properly.
If your original keyway was bound up and twisted in half, the adapter was overtightened during installation.
Make sure that you install the square 7713 drive tip nice and snug, but be careful not to over-tighten the nut because that will cause the drive key to get in a bind and snap.
NOTE: A new complete (4 piece) small parts kit is included with the new adapters we have available.
